Meet The Pitmaster

Thomas Edison once said “There is no substitute for hard work” and that is exactly what owner and head pitmaster Kyle W. Murphy has shown in his business and his barbecue. Specializing in Central Texas-style barbecue using locally sourced Texas Pecan wood he has chosen to let the meat speak for itself.

 

With the help of his two daughters, he has grown Roughhouse Smokers into what it is today. Kyle has established a recurring pop up at Baileson Brewery Co. and offers many different catering options, perfect for any event.

I stopped into Baileson Brewing since I knew Kyle and his Roughhouse Smokers Cooking Team were there on Saturday. I'm so glad that I did! His food was amazing!!! I had the 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, porchetta, elote and beans. Everything was wonderful. All 3 meats were very tender and very flavorful that I couldn't decide which one was my favorite. The portions were very large so I have gotten a few more meals out of the leftovers. The next time I want BBQ, I will be looking for the Roughhouse Smokers Team!!!
